Christchurch & Canterbury Convention Bureau cover designAlexanders was commissioned to develop a cover and theme for this year's Meeting & Incentive Planner cover, and trade magazine advertising to promote the area as a conference destination. The theme we developed was "Christchurch & Canterbury - Inspired & Unexpected". The ads featured juxtapositions between Dignified & Quirky (Punting by band rotunda, drama characters from a festival), Fast & Furious (rafting and Patrick Duffy taking off the expression on a gargoyle), and Work and Play (conference venue, and swimming with the dolphins). “We are absolutely thrilled with the design that Rachel and Jay came up with for the cover of our 2007-2008 Christchurch & Canterbury Convention Bureau Meeting & Incentive Planner and the supporting advertising campaign. We've had hugely positive feedback from our clients industry and our Business Partners, who appreciate it's fresh design that transcends the average tourism approach using shots of trams and punts. We are especially delighted to see how it stands out well from competitor destination advertising.”
Croys Staff AwardsCroys took their staff to Wellington for a planning day and surprised them with a cocktail awards function to recognise performance in a fun and light-hearted way. Some of the nominees for tonights awards are: "Scandalous Success" , "Bean there and done that" , "Tricks of the Trade" , "Ps & Qs".
V-base conference venue adsNCC New Zealand (now called V-base) incorporating the Convention Centre, Westpac Centre and Christchurch Town Hall, wanted a series of trade ads to the conference industry in Asia, and also a coffee table book for the top 1000 Asian corporate executives to promote its conference facilities in Christchurch. Alexanders developed a theme “a perfect fit” using shoes, tailoring and the colour purple - "Whatever the occasion, there is a venue that is the perfect fit." This theme was used for three years in all promotions material. With generous support from Pak World, details on the brochure included embossed and foiled designs which won us a Gold at the Pride in Print Awards.
